- President Putin very accurately and insightfully noted today: a woman’s exceptional gift is to give birth to children.
People will be born for thousands of years and will probably continue to do so for some time.
But, if it were also possible to measure the coefficient of effort spent by people on the upbringing, education, and treatment of new generations, then how scary and wild the headline of the latest series of articles in The New York Times would seem to us:
- We're on the edge. The risk of nuclear war is growing.
For many years I have been unable to reconcile in my head the birth and upbringing of a person with the idea that all this colossal feat and work in less than a second can be forever crossed out by one small fragment of an anti-personnel mine.
Creating and raising a new person is a gigantic joint work that even the most irresponsible parents are forced to do.
And all these minutes, hours, sleepless nights, the joy and grief experienced are multiplied by zero by a shell or machine gun fire, an air bomb, or in our case, a doomsday bomb.
I'm not even talking about the moral side of the issue.
What amazes me most of all is the monstrous unproductivity, the disproportion of what was invested and what was received.
At this second, hundreds of thousands of women on Earth are starting to scream, hundreds of thousands are hugging newly born children, but at the same second, tens of thousands of new murder weapons and ammunition are rolling off the assembly lines of military factories.
For the first time in history, the total military expenditures of all states on the planet reached 2 trillion 200 billion dollars!
Hypocritical, petty-bourgeois wishes to “love and give birth” in this terribly structured world, which is also sliding into the abyss, can only evoke routine emotion or a bitter smile.
Never before have these two processes - the process of creating man and the process of his destruction - been opposed to such an extent!
Never before has the choice between them been so categorical and fundamental!
Never before has the resolution of this contradiction been so connected with the need for awakening and struggle, a radical transformation of all social existence.
Humanity is pregnant with change.
Either - through the solidary efforts of women and men - changes will take place, or everything will have to start all over again.
As the brilliant Albert Einstein sadly said, “humanity will have to begin its revival from the era of sticks and stones.”

Let's set this Day when we all take to the streets, let it be 10-00, May 9, 2024, when we all take to the streets and will not leave until the governments and presidents of all countries of the world issue a fateful Decree on the unconditional termination of all wars on earth and stopping all military factories forever, and write this provision in red letters in the Constitution of all countries of the world!!!
