Gerardo Calderon s artistry in small forms

Марина Чиянова
He is a fabulous artist from Lima, Peru. Gerardo has turned into an artist without much academic training, however his aesthetic is unusual and easily recognizable. His approach to fine arts is based on detail - it is so obvious that the artist needs to be impeccable technically to draw on small stones found by the seaside or on a riverbank.

It takes hours to magnetize these pebbles with laconic yet contrastive and gracious paintings. This is his field of innovation and inspiration.

He is aware of both the authentic Peruvian Indian roots and the tremendous Catholic impact on the culture. He reacts to the events in the world, including war in Ukraine.

He also feels the rhythm of the nature and is capable of conveying it properly.

Gerardo is a niche artist with a great feeling of style, time and space. His method and manner are unique, and his works are made masterfully and are full of joy. Self-actualized people from all over the world can feel resonance and connection to his works.

With so much in sight, I really hope he follows his passion and reveals even more of his artistic spark to the world.
