Bat Mitzvah.

75 years have passed since a girl with a pioneer tie from a regional Belarusian town on the border with Lithuania was photographed in the courtyard of her house on Mickiewicz Street.

Funny, naive girl with a large bouquet of flowers in their hands.
This is when  my father  Kolya captured me

It was   September 1, 1958.

Dad loved to take pictures of me.

The photo was taken in the courtyard of our house.
Nearby was the synagogue building.
I was in fifth grade.

If it would be a war  i would be growing up in  in a  big family.

If it were a revolution, I would have been Bat Mitzvah in a place in Oshmana in 1958.
On this were my grandparents, seven   uncles, and many cousins.
My Bat Mitzvah would be in a beautiful synagogue with a large painted ceiling and beautiful stained glass windows with a huge candle.
It was taken away.
