You no need to protect children.
You just have to love them.
You must love unconditionally, no expecting anything in return.
Kids don't need your brining them up.
Don't even try to apply special tricks to educate them.
They need to be taught safe behavior.
You might share your skills that would be useful to them.
And of course we have to bear in mind that children are not the property of parents.
They are young people, not semi-humane.
Adults who bully kids are the worst creatures imaginable.
This should be remembered every day, not just the first of June.
