The letter to Sultan of Turkey

Замир Осоров
To President of Turkey Rajep Tayyip Erdogan

Dear President,
The people of Kyrgyzstan are a fraternal people to the great Turkish people, and we have always proudly noted and will continue to celebrate this fact, never ceasing to dream of the day when Kyrgyzstan will also become part of the civilized and highly developed united Turkic world.
Therefore, you should not spoil relations with such great European powers as France, Germany, or even with small countries like Greece, since they are all part of the European Union.
There is no need to behave in another country like an elephant in a china shop and reproach French President Emmanuel Macron and criticize Angela Merkel for various trifles, especially when they are fighting religious fanaticism in their countries.
The great Ataturk did his best to bring Turkey as close to Europe and European civilization as possible, at the same time doing everything to divert Turkey from religious fanaticism and obscurantism.
We have always been proud that Turkey is a European power and that someday in the future it will help us to join the values ;;of Europe too.
Your criticism of the European leaders - and at the same time, the very restrained attitude of Macron and Merkel and other European leaders towards you only strengthens us in the belief that our common future and salvation are in unity with Europe, and not with countries ruled by religious fanatics ...
On the other hand, hostility and attacks on European countries, as, for example, today it is happening against the President of France, can also provoke anti-Turkic sentiments in France and throughout Europe. What if one day in the same France or Germany a leader comes to power who hates Turkey and decides to punish it? It would be more logical for the same France, whose economy is four times larger than that of Turkey, or for Germany, whose potential is an order of magnitude higher than that of Turkey, including militarily and technologically, to behave aggressively. Nevertheless, the European powers and the European Union treat Turkey and you personally with deep respect and want to be in allied relations with Turkey and with you.
Therefore, we should highly value what we have and what we have already achieved, and we want your country to always be a guide to the future, not the past, to open wide the doors for us to Europe, and not to the Middle Ages, inhabited by dictators, tyrants and religious fanatics.
On the other hand, all attempts - voluntary or involuntary - to embroil Turkey with Europe may lead to the fact that the fraternal Turkic republics of Central Asia - Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, as well as the Turkic autonomous republics within the Russian Federation, begin to cool in their attitude to Turkey. Because we all see, first of all, Turkey as a guide to Europe, democracy and freedom, and not to the past of Asia and the Middle Ages.
With deep respect and hope for your understanding
