Tan kulan aek - time for miracles

Tan kulan aek - this is the predawn time, when the sun is still far behind the horizon, but according to some signs, the daybreak is approaching inexorably. This time is especially beautiful in jailoo. The famous painting of Kyrgyz great artist S. Chuikov “ The touch to  eternity” will help you appreciate the beauty of this expression.
This elegant, almost sculptural verbal composition means in trnaslation  “when the foal of dawn comes to its senses,” “bowing its head,” “shuddering,” “turning its head.”
I could not get an exact explanation from the experts for a long time, what exactly it mean, although it was obvious that the image of a young foal, of course,  perfectly associated with the day that is being born - high in the mountains.
Finally, one shepherd gave me the semantic translation of this phrase and explained its origin. This is an  predawn time when a waking newborn foal tries its voice and touches the side of its mother so that she wakes up too, and he can cling to her nipples.
Indeed, a beautiful picture...

I allowed myself to supplement this expression a little bit in my own way. For me, Tan Kulan aek is an early morning, high in the mountains, on a  summer pasture, when for the first time in your life you wake up in a yurt and feel and see next to you a beautiful creature who is still sleeping, and you still do not believe that she  born from your dreams and that this unbelivable reality has come true. Indeed the time of miracles - Tang kulan aek - early dawn and somewhere the barely audible silver voice of the new born colt emerges. Does it  really you, my dear, or it is just a fast-fleeting fantasia, a dream born in dream?
