Every home gets mail

Елена Тишина
     Every home gets mail.
This is something that will happen to you forever, possibly even longer!

Mail is always looking for you, following you around, and waiting to offer you everything, including free gifts, but asking for payment for everything, including free gifts.

Very often there is a surprise in the mail, mostly pleasant.  Of course, the mail also brings you bills, but to be reasonable, there is a fair chance a paycheck may come along as well.

Every day you have to check the mailbox and every day it is full of so many things: letters, cards, catalogs, and different pieces of information.
It means someone is thinking about you, someone remembers you or wants something from you.

Sometimes someone is thinking  better of you than you can afford.
 It makes you feel good!

Television is similar to the mail.
It breaks into your home and asks of your time and attention.
Sometimes it can take your children from you.
But it pays you back by showing you programming that can help with your English, unless you happen to receive a Russian channels.

     But beware!
Television is a monster who can swallow you whole if you can't handle it.
But if you can, television can be a great thing.
It offers so much entertainment  and information, ranging from movies to news, performances, talk shows, biographies, and more.

Also, you can rent a movie from library, where there is a diverse and interesting collection of American and general English language films.
It is unbelievable, that at every branch of the library, such a collection is waiting for you.
We are lucky to live in New York, where these sort of opportunities and services are at our disposal.
