about
2000 year of Millennium was marked by the arrival in San Francisco and the start of the Tour de Jour - as an American period in the life of Val Belin (KING B). The first concerts began in California in Santa Cruz in the legendary Blues club Moe's Alley. There followed a series of lectures and speeches on the radio. Here is a radio-interview on the youth radio KZSC. It was the first time that the Russian Blues doctrine was introduced and the blues were used on Russian language as part of the RUSSIA GETS THE BLUES project.
And again about Russian blues or blues in Russian. It is very difficult to delineate the boundaries of the genre when we take an arrangement from one style and content from another. In authentic traditional blues, there is a specificity and if you do not stick to it - there is a view of the size - 12/8 in which the beat is kept by duration of quarter
notes, containing triplets; Theme and size of verbal filling, so-called poetics, lyrics; Voice feed using timbral coloring and melisms, and finally the notorious lowered the 3rd, 5th, 7th steps in the blues mode; 12th bars form of a harmonic chain with a certain sequence of basic functions (T, D, S) - then we get into some ephemeral field, which can contain elements of other styles. Exploring musical history, we see that blues, being the root form, allows, and quite actively, changes - forms and rhythms, melodies and content. Consequently, the language of presentation can changes too, preserving, as far as possible, the genre component.
