Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra was, is and will be for all Orthodox Christians the ark of salvation, where at the helm of the ship are «new righteous Noah» – St. Sergius of Radonezh, the hegumen of the Russian land, and «ship's skipper» – the Holy Royal passion-bearer Nicholas, owner of the Russian land.
The merciful Providence of the Holy Trinity bears the ark upon the sea of life in store for faithful Christians the Kingdom of heaven.
We, floating by the ship, have to row constantly with oars, «look for the Resurrection of the dead, And the life in the world to come. Amen».
