The story of the dark forest

Шевцова Татьяна Николаевна
The forester went through the thicket. Shouting and singing suddenly ceased, and the forest became quiet. He came out to a glade, where young people had a party. Things had already been collected, and boys and girls took their seats in a shiny jeep. The forester didn't catch them; the car with the noisy company quickly started up and drove away. He looked at the glade, which was like trash can after these people's party, and squeezed through teeth, "Well, I'll catch you, bastards!"
The forester noticed smoke rising high above the tops of trees half an hour ago: such big smoke was impossible to miss! That company had been bothering him for a while already; they made night discos, picnics, motorcycle races and barbeques like this all the time. All of it was taking place in the heart of the ancient reserved forest. This forest used to be visited by many people, but no one had ever treated it in such a cruel way.
A few weeks later the experienced forester noticed smoke rising up not so far from his residency. He went to that direction. He could barely hear young people laugh and talk.
"He really allowed you to take it?!"
"Absolutely!"
"No way!"
"He said, "Take it. Have some fun!" Even gave me bullets!"
"This is way cool!"
"You see a raven over there? I'll shoot it!"
"Go on, dude!"
Right at this moment the forester came out to the glade on the opposite side from the company.
"Oh, guys, look: there's an elk!"
Everyone laughed.
"Let's shoot him!"
"Are you crazy? It's a man, not an elk. You'll be sentenced for murder."
"Come on! There's no evidence against us. He won't bother us anymore."
The guy who had the gun aimed at the forester. Meanwhile, the forester slowly moved towards the company. Trees became very silent just like they always did before a big storm.
A first bullet passed in two meters from the forester; the one with the gun was drunk. A second shot was a bit more accurate. The bullet hit the forester's arm. He screamed and squatted down to the ground. Trees shook their branches. The experienced forester saw the bullet didn't remain in his arm and understood this wound wouldn't do a lot of harm to him. A water drop fell down on him. The forester knew there would be a dangerous storm, and it wasn't safe to stay in the forest, so he slowly got up and went to his residency as fast as he could.
After the second shot the cheerful company heard the forester screaming and saw him getting down. All the girls of the company began squealing and rushing, and because of it no one noticed the forester get up and go away. The girls became panic-stricken.
"You killed him! You really killed him!"
"Shut up your mouths! We're getting out of here! Quick!"
Trees' leaves rustled. All of the boys and girls got into their car. The guy who had made shots was the driver. He started the car and pedaled. The jeep went forward. There was a thunderclap, and it began raining. Everyone was afraid. One girl said, "Wait a minute! We pass by this bent pine for a third time. I bet you confused the road."
"You wanna drive instead of me?! No? Then shut up and sit at your place!"
Some time passed, and the driving guy admitted, "Damn, you were right. I forgot the way. Does anyone remember where to go?"
The answer for this question was only silence inside of the jeep. On the outside dark branches of trees were beating down on the car windows, and the forest occupied by a storm was making a lot of noise. The car stopped, and there were screams coming out of it.
"We are lost!"
"This forest is huge!"
"We'll never get out of here!"
As a proof for these words a lightning appeared, and a strong gust of wind rocked trees. It was so heavy that a tree fell down right on the car.
The forest avenged itself.
