Chapter 17
Vlad was a fat young man, with a kind face. He smoke very much but it was not his use of life. He told me his brother offended him and mother stole his money, thought all family was Christian. But Vlad was real Christian. He forgave bad things, he shared his food with others, and he always smiled. And because of that we became good friends. We played chess with him and he played reminding God orally sometimes.
Chapter 18
As you remember we often played chess with our friends. Often it was in the evening. For example I played with the old men with voices. He was so skillful in chess that in more than ten sets I won only one time. In fact he was closer friend than Alex from army because he didn’t offend me and play in calm way.
Other old men—Sergey—was very nervous at the chess—board as Alex from army. But all these three men played very well.
Others played chess worth. I was in the middle of level of playing chess in the hospital.
To help us to get rid of our bad habits we walked because there was spring on the court and later summer.
Chapter 19
In the garden I was rather good worker. I cleaned road from many leaves, helped with work with flowers, picked up branches. I moved very much and this work, moving and fresh air cured me very well. My old friend Alex worked together with me.
These walking and working were almost about several decades of times. But we went out not only for walking. We could visit the doctors; we could go to special procedures in close building or visited lessons of art or concerts.
Chapter 20
When personal noticed I felt better they began to think they could let me to go to the church. But as I mentioned it was too difficult and only conversation my mother with my doctor could influence on the situation.
In the second time being in Alecseevskaya hospital I was in the church three times. Being in the church helped me very much. I went to the church with other patient Ivan.
One of time we were speaking with him about God. We came to the conclusion church played very important role in the life of the men even if this life was lived in troubles.
