The end of the second and the entire of the third course
I lived with Eugene  (Jane) and two Vovs. Now only Vova V. flies on the IL-76 and in this moment he is somewhere in the Sudan.
Let him be all fine ! As my friend, Sergei with whom we had been flying for a long time on the North, and our Mikhalych, our hands,(flight engenere) when we were at the cemetery and remembered our commander " Only you have stayed.  Fly for us"
The calmest and  most probably, the most sensible was Vova O. He spent the most time in the bed. He slept. When there was no time before the session,  the most responsible our Eugene made Vova wake up  and reminded him about the upcoming exams and at the same time about all the tails that had been accumulated. Vova said YES! turning to the wall to sleep again. If the weather and mood permit we walked with him in the evening.
Eugene and Vova studied very good and were inseparable throughout. Jane met Vova's sister and felt in love with her. We were very happy. At that moment Vova's sister was studying in  the10th class and could not meet with Jane. She had to pass exams, but not to meet with Jane. We were very worried. Jane worried too. But then she realized that Jane was much better than all her exams, put together, and even married Jane. But it would be later, but  we were passing the session and flew  on IL-18.
We also had a summer practice in different parts of the USSR. Among of all the places I chose a old  city of Pskov. Only 45 minutes of flight to Leningrad!  I was flying on the An-24 there. For a short period of time I was able to see all the charm of flying profession.
First, I went to flights in the white shirt and get a lot of pleasure from all  the flights.
Secondly, I am very like these young guys which were free from any problems.
Third, we flew to the North and in the South and Murmansk in Simferopol and under the way there  happened all sorts of cute adventure. Of course, I tried to work, but I was more like an observer.
Finally, I learned about the level of the salary, which pleased me. It was in 30-40 times more of our scholarships!
The instructor of the An-24 in the Academy was the candidate of science Puzakov VN. Even if he did not crashed down, I think that no one said something bad about him .
- Well, theoretics (theoretic it is slightly lisping) let's play by the ruler(navigation slide rule - a very handy thing for calculations, carding back and other equally useful things).
From a very clever book he adapted very precise formula for calculating the angle of the output at a given point of the approach procedure. Jane and I agreed to go together on the practise . Jane was from Moscow. There were no places for such as we are in
Leningrad or in Moscow. It was decided that we go to Tyumen where we were wanted. In Tyumen there were any planes and we were very happy. But at the last moment Jane allowed to have  practice  on the An-26 in Moscow in Bykovo, and six people went to Tyumen. Tyumen - the capital of the villages.

As I arrived there, I was invited to the management of CA and between me and the chief navigator was a conversation.
- What do you think about An-2 and landing on the ice?
- I would like on AN-24 or AN-26.
- Well, well, as a navigator of Squadron Mi-8 helicopters.
-?? I would like on the AN-24 or AN-26.
- Well, the navigator on the Mi-6? The large screw count rubles  and a small screw penny, eh?
(to be honest, I knew how to fly a helicopter in terms of aerodynamics. Well, ideally, my mind refused to understand it.) As Shura said about this: "Well, can you imagine, how can all this mass on one nut hang!"
- Okay, I have one vacancy. As you do not  want to fly helicopters, you will be a navigator of squad of Mi-6.
In two-three years being
the navigator of squad you would go the navigator of Il-76 or Tu-154.
I was naivy but not to this extent. We had to fly for 5-7 years to be retrained for such planes at that time.
 - I’ would fly on AN-24 or AN-26. -  I said modestly
-Well, if you fly on An-24 we will  rot you on this type in this case.
By the way Serge U.  fell four times by helicopters. Not one issue with our helicopters do not fly. Some even ended on the health of these helicopters.

To maintain communication - it's like a foreign language. In the beginning, of course. A relationship is based on specific rules. Andrew was flying and he had to ask the ATC to descent but he forget how to do it.. The time was going the distance reducing but he had forgot. All the crew members saw it but they did  not interfere to the educational process. And he had to tell to ATC "Tyumen control, 46651, the estimated time to descent."
At that, he had to answer:
46651, Tyumen control, descent, occupy 3000 (for example) "

- Dispatcher, I am down.
 The dispatcher replied:

When the cans, which we brought with us completely frozen on the window, the guys went home to write diplomas but I did not flew enough and stayed alone.
When you fly in the night and have the opportunity to look through the window on the Tyumen region, you can see hundreds of fires burning gas. So much gas that comes from the land and it is ready to flood all that it will be set on fire.
And I am here at home, I write the diploma. I admired inertial navigation systems and wrote about them.
My childhood friend Dmitri with computer instead of the head threw me a wonderful idea that its implementation would have to pull not only a diploma, but unfortunately, the idea remained only an idea for a number of reasons.
My recognition of the impossibility of flying on the helicopters had its effect and I was allowed to change the place of job.
(The aviation specialist was not enough as the rule. It was on the Northen airports.

The  newspaper "Take the gift country!"  no doubt, was a great. In this paper we drew with Vova B., and Igor O. wrote quite brilliant epigrams. He wrote  to everybody and very witty.
Suddenly, he holds out new manuscript, and I do not believe my eyes read:
He was dispatcher and now he is navigator
                He did not believe to DISD 
 Value of the wind using clouds
               He knew the rare secret .
I spent a sleepless night, making out our newspaper and now this! DISD-the  Doppler instrument for determine the ground speed and drifting
Thanks this thing, we define the wind. Yes, I asked Professor Baranov on the rare phenomenon when the clouds stretched in a line, so I determined the wind by the smoke from the chimney when we approached on our An-24, but you should agree that  the epigram should not be written. I requested not to do it but Igor invited me to write an epigram on him.
I was offended and wrote:
              Igor O wrote the  epigrams
              He wrote them with or without excuse
              He bile poured out on these lines pounds
              What the hell are useful in poetry?
                To help mother-in-law regularly instead of writing
                Do not force to write her your works!
                Yes, Igor you are not Pushkin and you are not even satirist Ivanov
                Do not write poems no more, do not waste valuable resources of words. 
  Igor is trying to change something now...
As a result, I drew Igor have flown on Pegasus, myself I drew on the balloon with a telescope and Vova B. on an old car and below Igor wrote:               
Oh, Mother Earth, If such people You do not give to the world The life would die!
Wonderful and truthful line. It's bad that it been already written before Igor…
Vova B. flew in the Air Force on AN-12 and then worked as  duty  navigator at Domodedovo Airport (Moscow) where we saw the first time since graduating. It was in 2002.
  Only Igor from our graduation  stayed in Leningrad and flew on the An-12, after the Tu-134 and finally, the Tu-154. (He was flight navigator Russian department of Navigation of A-319, 320 before 2009)
