ANDREY BARTENEV’s a brilliant mind, vanguard painter, marvellous dressmaker and cloth couturier, extravagance jewellery and dance-costume designer, pap-masher sculptor and one of the top show business leaders in Russia. He is the creator-experimentalist of new outward shows, as well as an appearance styles and heartbroken extravaganza in visual art forms. He is the brightest superstar between artist in interactive installations and terrific-innovative member of new cacophonic generation in Modern Russian Art, today. They are non-stop talents carrier in main streams of nowadays arts. The famous art-director produced so many exhibitions and shows in bacchanalia of colours and boogie, jazz, hip-hop, step, and skip-dances with endless number of performances in many cities from corner to corner in Europe and Russia. He lives at home in Moscow permanently and never left his precious homeland. Ours book written in Russia (1993-1995) and presented at his birthday on the 9th of October in Moscow (in Russian, 1996: the firs edition in Australia). Some books about his parents, friends and family printed were on CD (in Russian, 2001: the second edition in Australia), and on DVD (in Russian, 2006: the third edition: NLA ID 45233287). This year he is getting on for fifty (2015). We are celebrating his great life and outstanding achievements in the World of Performance. First publication in English (2015) shows us today a fabulous significance of his unique autobiography, curious interviews and his personal mega-pedestal in European International Culture.
3. Chapter: THE BEGINNING
Before leaving the ‘Harlequin’, Andrey left me some sheets about himself.
It says what he had done several years prior to our meeting. Everything was interesting for me. I realized that he was addicted to work.
