Mainstream limericks

Анна Мостовая 2
When you think what is mainstream
Don’t be swimming up the stream.
People must know
Where to flow
To be happy and not too extreme.

Mainstream means a bit of cream
On your coffee. You can dream
Of a beautiful green jungle
And your clothes tied up in bundles
Floating freely down the stream.
Mainstream means a bit of cream
On your coffee. Up the brim
Of a cup. Or otherwise
Be alternatively wise
And be never shy to scream.

Mainstream means a bit of cream
On your coffee. Up the stream
Never swim or you will drown.
Wisely choose your own gown
And think twice before you scream.

Building nests between two beams
Is as mainstream as a scream
Of a savage in a city
Or a ring of Nefertiti
In the wildest Joseph’s dream.

A lamb will grow into a ram
If it will be ‘trop extreme’.
If you want a sacrifice
Think how little could suffice
Turning you into crиme de la crиme.

Whatever you can and cannot accept
Mainstream is sure a useful concept.
It shows that you care
How much you can dare
Not just some heresy’s thoughtless adept.
