На этом перечень известных родословных от ирландских королей исчерпывается. Что можно сказать в заключении? Представленные в этой главе родословные показали нам, какая богатая история может скрываться за невестами, бывшими родом из Ирландии. Благодаря им, мы смогли проникнуть в глубь веков ещё на две тысячи лет назад, то есть в 1029 до н.э., когда сыновья Milidh впервые вступили на землю Ирландии. После этого на острове развернулась многовековая борьба между двумя кланами, образованными потомками сыновей Milidhа. Эта борьба, когда то один, то другой кланы завоёвывали престол, за редким исключением, сопровождалась постоянными убийствами верховных правителей Ирландии. Убийство, однажды совершившись, повлекло за собой длинную цепь новых убийств, когда каждый, вновь рождённый представитель того или иного клана, вынужден был мстить за убийство своего отца или деда. Такое превращение помогло ирландцам сохранить то, что не удалось сделать в других странах, где тоже принимали Христианство. Они сохранили свою историю, хранителями которой и были друиды-жрецы. Подобного не скажешь, например, о германцах, славянах, армянах и прибалтах, где жрецы подвергались гонениям и казням. По их примеру не сохранили свою древнюю историю и их
северные соседи финно-угры.
Вместе с тем, история кланов – это не только борьба за власть, но и кое-что другое. Например, это родственные связи правителей Ирландии с правителями таких тогдашних стран, как Испания (Кельтиберия), Дал Риата и Альба (Шотландия), Британия, Страна Саксов, Галлия, Альпийская Италия, какая-то древняя Финляндия, Фоморы, о которых мы до сих пор имели весьма смутное представление. История представленных кланов – это также история доселе неизвестной для нас страны, где живут не германцы, не латины, не славяне и не греки, а неведомые вроде бы для нас кельты, которые когда-то заполняли всю Европу, а сегодня остались лишь в её дальних уголках, каковыми являются Ирландия, Шотландия и Уэльс.
Вглядываясь в личность представителей ирландских кланов, мы хотели бы видеть весь кельтский мир, его лидеров, его богов, его культуру, его ценности, его понятия о добре и зле, его понятия о мироздании и месте человека в нём. К сожалению, друиды мало писали, а больше передавали свои мысли и знания устно, запоминая наизусть значительные по объёму произведения. Поэтому многое ушло из этого мира вместе с ними, и воссоздать полную картину мира, в котором они жили, весьма сложно. Изучая родословные кланов, мы только приступили к такому воссозданию, и вся наша работа ещё впереди.
Теперь же мы должны вспомнить о том, что некоторые ирландские родословные ведут нас к легендарному Milidh. Жил ли он на самом деле или это был мифический герой, выдуманный воображением ирландцев? Если он жил, то откуда он был родом, где правил, кто были его предки? Попробуем ответить на все эти вопросы в следующей главе.
