Abstract
The last investigations have shown that coffee consumption is associated with a significant reduction in coronary artery disease and breast cancer risks because coffee consumption increases migratory capacity and mitochondrial function of human cells. Caffeine-induced migratory capacity of cells is linked with repairing of mitochondrial functions and reduction of cardiolipin and electron transport chain abnormalities. In this respect there was elaborated a model of mitochondrial respiratory chain.
